Happy New Years to everyone! This is a favorite time of the year for me. I love the idea of new possibilities and potentials. While we don't need to have January 1 as the time to make new commitments to our health and prosperity and other things that are important to us, the pull of the tradition is strong within me.

It is in the spirit of reflection and sharing that I would like to shift from my normal format of answering questions for today's newsletter. I am so grateful to have an understanding of the body that helps me translate various problems into physical solutions. The more I study health and healing the more appreciative I am of the strong mental/emotional connection to health – or the lack of. I'm not saying your health is all in your head – but rather your emotions and thoughts all have a measurable frequency. This is not my opinion - it has been proven scientifically.
If our thoughts and emotions influence our immune system and health – then becoming aware and changing ways of thinking that keep us from our full potential is useful, yes? I would like to share with you a favorite method of mine. It is called EFT.

EFT is short for Emotional Freedom Techniques. While I am not wild about the name, I am in awe of the technique – for when it works – it can really work. Since we are electrical beings, when we have a trauma or upset, it causes a disturbance in the energy field of the body. EFT is one tool to correct the energy disruption. It works similar to acupuncture. You are tapping on points while tuned into an issue or emotion as a way to bring your energy back into balance.

While the technique is simple, it would be take too long to describe it in this newsletter. You can read all about it at www.emofree.com. There is a free downloadable manual – and a signup for a weekly newsletter. Try putting a phrase in the search box, such as performance anxiety, or insomnia, or arthritis, etc. and read case after case of how EFT is being used. Will it work on everything? No, and you have nothing to lose because it involves no drugs, no supplements, no purchases of any kind – just an openness and curiosity to exploring a technique that may or may not be useful to you at this point in time. I will tell you that it has been very useful to me, and so I pass the information onto you to come to your own conclusions.

I'll go back to the question format in the next newsletter.

Warmest regards, and heartfelt wishes for a 2007 that exceeds your wildest dreams!

Deborah
